The Terms and Conditions set out an agreement between 'you' the pet owner, and the sitter, 'The Cat Concierge' a trading name of 'Dee Dolittles Pet Care'.
BOOKINGS
- Submission of a booking request whether via telephone, email, facebook messenger, third party app, text, in writing or verbally will confirm the owner/s acceptance of the terms and conditions and their desire to progress with a booking.
- If booking through a third party website you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of both the booking site and Dee Dolittle's Pet Sitting.
- Bookings are confirmed when your requested dates are added to our diary and you receive a confirmation invoice.
- The balance is due in full no later than the first day your cat sitting visits commence.
- Bank holidays incur additional charges which you will be advised of at the time of booking.
CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellations must be notified to Dee Dolittle's Pet Care in writing as soon as possible.
- Clients will be asked at the time of booking to read and understand our cancellation policy.
- Cancellations made by close of business at least 7 days before your scheduled cat sitting is due to begin will be cancelled free of charge and either fully refunded or no payment will be due.
- Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice will regretfully will not be refunded and clients will be charged the full amount for their cat sitting visits.
- Dee Dolittle's Pet Care carefully plans their time in order to provide care for you and other clients and as such often has multiple requests for the same time period therefore last minute cancellations result in a loss of income as time slots cannot always be resold at short notice.
- Pet owners who return home early or cut short the pet care will not receive a refund for the remainder of the booking.
- In the event of any emergency if the care is unable to proceed we will endeavour to recommend an alternative cat sitting service of equal professionalism. We reserve the right at our discretion to cancel the booking and refund your payment without any liability to Dee Dolittle's Pet Care.
MEET AND GREET
- Your agreement with Dee Dolittle's Pet Sitting is upon a mutually satisfactory 'meet and greet' taking place at the time of registration.
- Dee Dolittle's Pet Sitting is not under any obligation to provide care. We reserve the right to decline to provide services for any reason.
PET INFORMATION
- You agree to provide full and detailed information in the Pet Information form about your pet(s). During your continued use of Dee Dolittle's Pet Care services you agree to keep us informed of any changes to your pet's information.
- We highly recommend that your pets are up to date with vaccinations, worming, tick and flea treatments.
- We also recommend that pets are microchipped and the microchip number must be supplied to Dee Dolittle's Pet Care upon registration.
KEYS
- Dee Dolittle's agrees not to duplicate your key or grant access to any other party and our access will be for the sole purpose of providing your pet care.
- Your keys will be stored securely free of charge and during busy periods priority will be given to clients who have left their keys with us. If you prefer to have your key returned at the end of each cat sitting assignment, there will be a £8 charge for each subsequent key collection.
- The client expressly gives Dee Dolittles Pet Sitting permission to employ a locksmith on their behalf and to promptly reimburse the sitter in the event of malfunction of the lock, keys or automated door entry system.
SERVICES
1. All reasonable care is taken to ensure the integrity and suitability of the care provided.
2. Dee Dolittles Pet Sitting agrees to provide pet sitting services in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and releases Dee Dolittles Pet Sitting from any and all claims against the company, its employees and representatives except those resulting from negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of the pet sitting company.
CLIENTS PROPERTY
1. Dee Dolittles cannot be held liable for any damages to your property resulting from the unpredictable behaviour of your pet(s) in your absence.
2. Client agrees to properly secure the home prior to leaving the premises and the sitter agrees to re-secure the home to the best of their ability at the end of each home visit.
3. Dee Dolittles cannot be held liable for any damages to the home or property, failure to secure the home, or injury to pets resulting from third party negligence or actions when the client takes the decision to allow access to extended family, friends, neighbours or tradespersons during the pet sitting period.
CARE OF PETS
- Client agrees to provide outdoor cats with a collar and ID whilst under our care.
- The client gives the sitter authorisation to take the pet to the Vet's, including for treatment for external parasites, if necessary, whilst also confirming you will either reimburse Dee Dolittle's any fees or pay the Veterinary Surgery directly, which-ever applies.
- Clients may grant their cats access to the outdoors while under our care at their discretion, Dee Dolittles may not be held liable for missing pets, injury, illness or death resulting from unsupervised access to outdoor environments.
- Photos taken of your pet/s during the booking will be the property of Dee Dolittle's Pet Care and may be shared on our website and social media sites. Should you not wish for your pets photos to be shared please let us know. Please note no details of your pets exact location will be given out, the security of pets is paramount.
- You agree to supply enough food and supplies for the duration of your pet's care plus any equipment required by the carer. If insufficient food, litter, or other supplies required to provide effective care to your pet, is supplied at the start of the booking you agree to refund Dee Dolittle's costs incurred purchasing more.
INSURANCE
- Dee Dolittle's Pet Sitting has valid public liability insurance, for the peace of mind of its clients.
- The client takes responsibility for adequately insuring the home and contents and the pet(s).
- Although we continually make every effort to ensure your pet is cared for to our high standards we cannot be held liable for loss, injury or death.
SCHEDULING/DELAYS
- Dee Dolittle's Pet Care will try to the best of our ability to carry out all instructions and work agreed with you, in the case of unforeseen weather conditions which may cause delay or disruptions we will contact you or your emergency contact immediately.
- Visits will be once per day or twice per day where requested by the owner. Whilst the owner may inform the sitter of their preferred time for a visit to occur, exact times can only be guaranteed in the case of pets who require medication at strict times of the day. Schedules are carefully planned according to number of daily jobs and their location.
PRIVACY POLICY
- All your information will be kept private and confidential.
- Dee Dolittle's Pet Care highly respects our clients entrusting us with the care of their home and pet(s).
- All records will be stored securely in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
